A Genuine Whiskey Painting is a tongue in cheek miniature masterpiece of art to be traded among members, offered as a gift or sold at the artist's discretion.
Miniature WPA paintings have been exhibited in national shows across the nation.
A vest paint kit is provided with instructions to work in official miniature dimensions.
A genuine whiskey painting is created only by a bona fide hand picked by jury member of the Whiskey Painters of America.
The paintings is created by dipping the brush in booze and by occasionally sipping to enhance the artists personal pleasure and stimulate his ideas.
It matters not if he chooses a straight drink or a mixed cocktail to paint at a bar, a candlelit lounge or the privacy of his own studio.
The painting and drinking results will be a satisfying delight to himself and will tickle the imagination of the viewer.
As of 2024 the WPA artist have been using whiskey to paint with for 63 years. Only #150 members are permitted to call themselves Whiskey Painters.
